Who Are You Doing Life For?

I just have a few thoughts today. It has been quite a while since posting. Let's see...the last time I posted here was in 2012. Oh Goodness how life has changed since then.

Let's bring y'all up to speed.
-I graduated from Simpson University in 2014
-Applied for a business license and started my wedding flower business, Velours Floral Designs http://www.veloursdesigns.com
- February of 2015 my Grandpa on my dad's side passed away. I have never experienced anything that painful before then.
- Jonathan proposed in April of 2015 and we were married on October 3rd
- 2016 I began work for Social X Business and NorCal Weddings doing social media marketing and personal assistant work.

Honestly most of 2016 was a blur. I was learning to be married and learning to be single at the same time. (Let me explain) Jonathan is a firefighter in Southern CA and we decided not to move, but that he would commute. I having never lived alone before have had to learn so much.

I do not suggest a long distance marriage plan. We of course are working through it, but is not for the faint of heart, the fickle, or the insecure.

This brings me to one of my thoughts. Who are you living for? Are you living to please someone? I caught myself today. My husband left for the airport and left as I am preparing for some friends to stay over. "Why am I doing all this?" I asked myself. It felt pointless after my husband left. I love my friends, so why was I feeling this way? Have I been living for my husband?
What if I start living for me? "NO!" Bad idea. If I start living for myself I would never be motivated.
I stopped In that moment and asked God, "when did I stop?" "When did I let you go?"

This isn't the first time I've stopped in my tracks and realized I had slipped from my routine of Christ as my center. The result of no Christ is misery and disappointment.
without Christ I would not have had the strength to get through college, I would not have been able to process or heal through my grandpa's death. I would not have been brave enough to start my own business. I would not have heard God's voice giving the OK to be someone's personal assistant. And I would not have been able to get through a year of marriage in a long distant relationship. Christ is the one I return to when misery and hardships come. And he is always faithful to pull me through to the other side!

What are your thoughts? Who have you been living for?

Shocked, They Still Shall Be

I don’t know your opinion on visions or pictures or revelations from the Lord. But whatever your thoughts, I want to just ask you to consider this for a minute. I remember driving into the Bay area over the Benicia Bridge one particular time and seeing something. Something I had never noticed before, and that the naked eye would not recognize. I saw people. I looked at the city that I was approaching and I recognized that it was full of people. My eyes lead me beyond that city and I saw the neighboring cities and the neighboring multitudes of people.  But then I realized I was not looking at people at one given time, but multiple generations. Generations of people long past.  I realized in a moment that I was looking on the crowds and throngs of that day when all will stand before the throne of God. Imagine. It is going to be incredible; the world’s population a thousand times over; plus angels and demons.
More recently though, I thought about what those people and myself will feel and experience as we enter the throne room that judgment day. We will we be shocked. I’m not talking a feeling of  “awe,” here, but truly SHOCKED; shocked at who people truly are inside. I think we will be in more shock, and disgust with human kind, on that day, then we could ever be while living a day here in this mortal life. I pictured this:
I’m entering the throne room of the Most High. It is beautiful, and radiant, streaming with light. I walk down the long glistening isle leading to the prosecution bench. I look out into the crowds and around; seeing the faces of every person I have touched in my life, back when I lived in a land of sunrises and sunsets. I see the ones I loved the most and those I shunned because I thought them not worth my time. I walk on, continuing forward. I am almost in a state of serial and I feel numb with the size of the room. Then, I see Him. I want to run. I want to stop. I want to laugh and dance and point and say to every one “ look! There He is!” I also want to cry, to hang my head and weep bitterly. Never in my days on earth had I felt such an emotion.
It is my turn to be tried. I look out from the bench raised above the chattering crowd. All of the most beloved and dear to me from life, seated in the front pews.
I can barley breath and heck no; I cannot turn my face to look at my King, My God, my First Love. There is then a motion to have my charges read to the crowd. As they begin, my gut leaps into my throat.
This can’t happen! NO!
I can’t bare to hear those things again that I regretted, and tried to forget, or hide. Now they will all know. It is ALL there. Every lie; every curse; every lustful thought; every slap in Jesus face; every person I rejected; all of the un-pure thoughts and actions; every thing is out. And the people watching and listening in the crowd will be shocked.
They will all look at me wondering how or why. Why they where the object of my malice, or lust, or gossip. Or some will be wondering how I could have hid that information from them. Some will look at me in disgust. Mom will be crying right in the front. Her head bent. Weeping into her hands. Dad will be sitting in his seat; leaned over looking at the floor with his hands grasping his temple. I will be alone in the throngs of a multitude. My heart will regret again.
In that moment, I will have nothing and no one to stand beside me. And every heart apart from mine will be shocked.
The One who is Judge over us begins to decree the sentence that is due me, but is suddenly interrupted, “She is mine, Lord! She is mine.” The voice so familiar and sweet, and turning I see a face I know and love. “This child accepted Your Gift to her, Father. She shall walk with me in Your Kingdom.” Then to me he will turn and say, “Your sins are forgiven because you believed in My name. Well done my child. Well done.”
And again the throngs in the crowd will be shocked. They new, that is what Jesus does. Yet shocked, they still shall be.

Mercy Filled my Life

When I kept silent it was miserable. I constantly felt the weight of God's hand pressing on me. Staying me where I was until I saw the ridiculous of my selfishness. It sapped all my energy and strength until I could hardly take a breath without it being painful. Then I confessed and opened my heart before the Lord. I showed him everything, even though I knew he had seen it all already.

God, I have put myself in a place of shame, I don't want even you to know of this thing that I carry. I have come to you over and over with this blast sin and yet I can;t seem to shake it when the temptation arises. I hate it, but the moments I am enticed I seem not to care and I ignore your presence. I am confused. I want you here. I want you to feel sorry for me and tell me everything is o.k. and that you have forgiven me. But i've been here before, at this place, this threshold of confessing and I know I deserve no such mercy. The sins I commit and the turning away from you in those fateful moment, they deserve no sympathy. They are nothing more than my slapping you in the face. The wages of sin is death, that is the only thing I should be looking forward to. But you give, whole heartedly, exactly that. Undeserved forgiveness, love, understanding from an abundant and mercy filled heart.
Does my heart really desire you and this strange forgiveness you promise?
God, I am coming to you again. I don't want this sin anymore. I want what you have for me. Search my heart and weed out the footholds that the enemy has trenched in my life. Fill my life with your love. In Jesus name,

<3 Katie

Psalm 32:3-5

New International Version (NIV)
When I kept silent,
    my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
For day and night
    your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
    my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
    the guilt of my sin.

The Hop Toad

Grandpa Frandsen has always been good at telling a story. He can take the most trivial thing and make it sound like your with Sherlock Holmes at 221B Bakers St. in London or fencing along side The Three Musketeers. Take yesterday morning for example (and mind you, my grandpa is in a wheel chair):
"You can't believe what happened. I looked out side, and the storm was storming... The wind was winding... The rain was raining... The thunder was thundering... The lighting was lightning-ing... and that patio umbrella was twiiiirling! So I went out and closed it up so it wouldn't be carried away. And while I was coming back in, a little hop toad, hop! hop! came right in the door! It hopped, plop! Under the couch. And I chased it under the little table. And over by the bathroom door. Hop hop hop! It got away under the pile of movies. And then, wouldn't you know it, it hopped right back out the door. He didn't even use the door properly, he crawled right out the crack."
I've been reading the book "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years" by Donald Miller, (If you haven't read it I highly recommend) and in it he talks about the elements of story. Basically a story is "a character who wants something and is willing to overcome trials to get it." Miller is explaining that the essence of life is the same. That our life is a story. We shouldn't settle. We need to overcome trials. Preserver through hardship. Its not a crime to plan and to have goals and ambitions, because those things that make a good story are the things that make a good life.
Grandpa's story was simple but he had the element of a good story. He had an ambition and a trial to overcome. And it ended as a happily ever after, which we all love. Mostly, I guess, is I am reminded that we all like a good story, so why not make your life one that you can tell?

P.S. If you want to read the book. I would also recommend reading his book, "Blue like Jazz," first. Because "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years," is kinda piloted by "Blue like Jazz."

Diamond in the Rough

I am certain that the past few days there have been moments spent with my Grandparents that I will treasure in my heart till beyond the day I die.
It all started (at least were I can pin point it) with a friend asking if I had read the Pilgrims Progress. I had not, so another friend let me borrow one of her copies. While I was sitting with my grandparents I pulled the book out and showed my grandpa what I was reading and he encouraged me to read it aloud. I am certain my life will never be the same.
The beginning of a journey that I wouldn't triad for all the riches of this world because I know that what i am learning is far more valuable.

Proverbs 20:15
Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.

The version of Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan is supposedly an abridged children's addition copy righted in 1895, complete with illustrations. Absolutely incredible pieces of art, beautifully detailed, and greatly enhancing the story. The written language of Bunyan's time being the old english and King James Bible style made reading the story a tad bit confusing. With great long words loaded with meaning and incredible analogies of a Christians walk with Christ. I find it very ironic that it was written for grade school children and now days you probably wouldn't see something like that till you got to a four year college.

So, I began to read, with my very own, personal, commentator, Leroy Frandsen. Through every deep analogy and dead word that stumbled my pebble brain, I had grandpa right there to explain to me what it meant. When something fascinated or amazed me, grandpa was right there to discuss it and ponder with about it; and we praised our heavenly father together over what we were reminded of. The farther along in the story we got, the more I asked questions even if i already understand. Thinking, perhaps he can show me more. There was suddenly a desperate scramble to glean what wisdom he would drop. A precious moment that I wished could have continued forever. Proverbs 4:13
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.

If you are befuddled to know why in thunder pants I would make such a fuss about this I want to encourage you to fuddle about it more. Consider what the reality of our world is today: I told the dietitian at the rehab center what a good time we were having reading and she told me her parents didn't talk to her, so her kids would never experience anything close to it.
That, is the world we live in.

The book by itself is amazing and I would greatly suggest reading it, but sharing it with such a man is... to great for words... it's like God gave me a glimpse of heaven in that moment. Grandpa is truly a rarity among men. Those that meat him can't help but see his worth.

I am looking forward to finishing the story with him this weekend!

How did I loose my own Grandma????

Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"
HAHA I say Amen to that... especially after searching through an entire FOUR stories of the Shasta Regional Hospital for my grandmother!

We arrived at the Hospital at 11am to go sit and be with grandpa. Since it was pelting down snow, and there was not one nearby parking spaces available, I figured I better drop grandma off at the front and go park in the parking garage.
So pulled to the entrance and tried to make it very clear to her that she was going to go in and wait. I would come in after parking the car, then we would go up to grandpa's room... together! So.. she got out and I drove to the parking garage. I go down... all reserved. I go up... figures.. every person and his cough is at the hospital today. After eight and a half minutes I find a convenient handicapped spot on the top of the garage near the elevator! YAy for broken legs :P! But, by this time I am getting a little ... I hate to say it... anxious... because i have now been away from grandma for 10 minutes.
11:10 am I crutch across the sleet covered ground; go in, and scan the foyer. . . .... 11:15am "Katie?.. what are you thinking??? Of course Grandma is not here. She is distraught and be-muddled with worry for grandpa! How in the world could you expect her to remember that she was supposed to sit and wait?"
So yeah... that is how I lost her.
Philippians4:5
"Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
That verse is really easy to read, but have you ever tried it? The prayer part is easy enough, "Dear God!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please oh please oh please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let her be inside this building and not outside!"
But that prayer says all over it "ANXIOUS!!!!"

I Asked the receptionist if she had seen her... no! 11:20 I asked in wound care (where they visit every week for my grandpa) Nope! 11:30 I check in with grandpa... Nada :( ...Oh my!!!

Very much premeditating my search tactics I get in the elevator with another woman and descend. Not really all there I mention to the woman, "I just lost my grandma and I don't know what to do."
She responds "Aww... I know its hard. I just lost my grandmother last month and today my grandpa is having surgery."
- gag... can't believe I am so clumsy sometimes. Oops... I did just open that ladies fresh wound... great... way to go katie.
Me: "Oh... I am sorry... I meant she is missing... here in the hospital... wondering." ... :/

At 11:35 I head to the nearest telephone, pick up the receiver, push 0 and get a hold of the hospital ... I need reinforcements.
Operator: "How can I help you today?"
Me: "Ah, yes...I am looking for my grandma?"
Operator: "I will look up her room number, what is her name?"
Me: "Um, Barbra, but she doesn't have a room, she is wandering somewhere and I can't find her."
Operator: "OH!!... Umm... I will call security and have them searching for her. What is she wearing?
Me: "uuum an orange shirt... and a black sweater!

So now 11:40 :D I have the entire hospital staff ...searching for my grandmother! Though... I must have not been all that clear on description. One lady out of a small group saw me, and her eyes got really wide and she pointed at me and said to her comrades; "There she is! Hey! I found her!" and to me, "Hello! Are you lost?"
I smile, look down at my GREEN shirt and say, "No! I am looking for my grandma!"

11:50 Turn a few more corners in the hospital. 12pm Hear a gentleman nurse tell someone he found someones grandma! I complete a HUGE sigh of relief and ask, "Oh! Did you say you found her?"
Nice Nurse: "Yeah I found her huffing and puffing on the 2nd story, is she yours?"
Me: "Yes! Where is she?"
Nice Nurse: "I wheeled her in this chair to your grandpa's room! You look warn down can I give you a lift?"
Me: " That would be great! I am exhausted!"

12:10pm I arrive back in grandpa's room. Grandma is sitting in there clearly beaming with happiness being near his side! She sees me and says; " Oh! Here is our little princess! How did I get here before you?"
Haha... So there you have it!!! God Is good! I love Him dearly!!!
God Bless

Setting the Bar High

I don't know about guys but I know that girls (whether they like to admit it or not) have an unavoidable desire to be loved by someone.

If she is anything like me, she has come up with some standards that can look pretty unrealistic, but are they really?

Katie's List: He must be gentle, kind, honest, caring, a leader and a servant. I would like him to be thinking of me while spending his money, trying to make wise purchases and saving. If he was far away; I would like his finding a way to be near me, to be at the top of his list. I want to be so dear to his heart that he would fight and work his hardest to be by my side.

Are these unrealistic? Am I dreaming to hard? I don't think so.
I didn't make up an "impossible finds" list. I simply read Gods word. In Collossions it said that husbands should be gentle with their wives, so i should expect it before i am married too. Jesus gave up his comfort in heaven to be with who he loves and he continues to fight for her. He is even now preparing a place for her.

The sad thing is that our desire to be loved can become a stumbling block. We may settle for something less because someone says we are being ridiculous, or we are tired of waiting. We might become convinced that these men only exist in movies. But I am certain that a Christian man is capable of all of it and maybe even more. Of course I know that all fall short, so ladies, just remember God shows grace, so we should to. And another thing to remember is that guys make lists too.
Colossians 3:19

19 "Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them."

Ephesians 5:25

25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her"

John 14:1-31 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

My First Love

My breath is caught inside my chest.
Words I would speak are lodged in my throat.
My mind is in awe and wonder.
This body longs to dance and embrace, but
these feet remain rooted
for fear of loosing you.
My heart leaps toward yours,
it begs to be with you
for you have touched it.
And now, I know,
it is impossible to return.

Our life is an Example

How often do we honor our parents through prayer or encouragement?
I think we, as young people, get so absorbed with our own lives, that we forget that God wants us to HONOR our parents. Not just through obedience, which we fail at half the time anyway, but through lifting them up in prayer and offering them WORDS of encouragement.
Exodus 20:12 "honor you father and your mother, so it will go well with you and you may have long life in the land (the earth) God has given you."
Do we even know what it means to honor? Thank God for a dictionary cause I knew I needed it when I made a funny face to that question.
To Honor is to: hold someone in high respect; to revere.
They should be completely at the TOP of our prayer list. We need to lift our parent up to God, especially those parents who are struggling with God, because only God can change and mold them. "Do NOT let anyone look down on you because you are young, BUT set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
Sometimes I think our parents tend to be our exception to the gossip rule. We go off and talk about everything and all their problems and what we don't like about them to our friends. But Is that Honoring to our parents? Is that honoring to GOD???? How would our attitudes toward our parents change if we were praying for them and their spiritual walk with God.. I wonder?!
Am I stressing enough? How important this is?
How much more honoring is it to be daily lifting them up in prayer? Not praying for selfish wants and desires, but asking God to give them the grace and wisdom in growing with you, Or pray that your parents would discipline and encourage you in a way that will bring you closer to God.
This is so important. I pray that my words will not roll off your shoulders into the dust, but that you would take them and change the world by setting an example with your life!
I'd like to pose these last questions... Do you pray for your parents? Do you offer encouragement to your dad when he is having a rough day? Do you leave a note for your mom on her bathroom mirror telling her she is loved and appreciated? I wish I did when I was near my parents, but It is more difficult being away. I wish I had done more, now that i see how important and how helpful I could have been. But i know God is a professional at making up for lost time and it is never to late to start.
God bless you and teach you in building strong God centered relationships with your parents. And remember, it is NEVER to late!

God is calling...

Slow down!
The world has changed so much since we were first given the instruction to,
"be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
So many things in our technological age fight for our attention,
but this timeless truth is crucial to the welfare of our souls.
Take some time to get to know Me!

Find rest in Me!
Sometimes we get frustrated.
When we go through:
situations that make us tired;
We often don't feel like we are getting the peace that we have read about in scripture;
Or seasons when life feels like we are running after it to catch up!
God tell us in His word:
"...My presence will go with you and I will give you rest." Exodus 33:14
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength..." Isaiah 40:31
He says that He will go with us,
but if we are not waiting on Him to receive His strength and His rest
then we are going to miss it entirely.
It Ok! You have time!

Don't worry!
The things we plan out and think are important in this life time,
do not even compare to what God has planned.
It is easy to latch onto our obligations and fall under the delusion that we have any control over our circumstances.
If we have a death grip on the list of commitments in our lives,
we will be crushed.
"Who of you by worrying can add a single day to his life?" Matthew 6:27
"Do not be anxious about anything but in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God." Phillipians 4:6
Worry and anxiety are the opposite of trust.
I will carry everything for you.
Trust Me!

Some Heavy Lifting

Have you ever thought of how horrible drowning would be?
If something was pulling you down and down, how far could you stay conscious underwater before you suffocated or inhaled to much water?
Would you feel yourself be crushed by the depths?
It is a sad and painful thought.
How dark and lonely it would be; how lost and hopeless life would be.
How cold and vulnerable you would feel.
How scared and desperate you would become.
Your lungs would burn. Your ears would ring! The water holding you, no way for you to be set free.
The weight of the world becoming heavier... and heavier... and heavier... and heavier... never, not once letting up for one moment!
I was thinking about this and thought, "what could be worse?"
Jesus says in Matthew 18 verses 5-6 "And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large mill stone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea."

Food for thought.

Growing Pains!

Do you remember when we were young and our bodies were growing? Sometimes our muscles would ache constantly and we would toss and turn at night, or we would run into walls because we had gotten bigger without noticing it. We would pull something out of our drawer and find that it didn't fit us anymore, and have to throw it away. It is an exciting yet painful process sometimes!
Our heart and spirit in our walk with God is something of the same picture. We are constantly growing and striving to be like Christ. It aches and we loose sleep over it sometimes. We run into things we don't understand because our hearts have gotten bigger and we learn to be more careful. We pull things out of our life and look at it and we are faced with a decision: "do i throw it away or keep something that doesn't fit?"
It is an exciting process. Though, some of the things we pull we have become attached to, and we don't want to get rid of it. But if we keep it we create clutter. It might even get in the way or trip us. It is Painful, but we have to toss the bad habits and characteristics that don't fit us anymore.
Let Christ stretch you and make you strong. Let Him clothe you with His robe of love. God Bless!
Home Work: Clean out your dresser ;) I know i have some throwing out to do!

Learning to love Jesus is hard work!

We can sometimes get distracted when it comes to loving. It takes time and hard effort. You might think that love is supposed to be simple, but if you look around, you can see many people who loved eachother once upon a time but have given up because of the choices they made. The exciting rush of joy they felt at the begining has disappeared and the difficult task of loving their partner sets in. If they have no desire to learn about their partner's desires and needs and dont take the time for them that they both need, they end up falling away from one another, not closer! It cant be a one sided relationship either, both have to work at it! Love is patient, it is kind, it is not selfish or boastful. Jesus set the example for true love, he loves you but you cant let it be a onesided relationship with your savior! You have to study his likes and dislikes and passions! You have to learn
to love Him! It is a relationship, you can not give up. God bless

Mind vs. Heart

Mind: "Stop, you don't know what your doing!"

Heart: "But i must!"

Mind: "No! Can't you see all the possibilities of how it could go wrong?"

Heart: "I do not! I feel the hope of how it is supposed to be!"

Mind: "Don't pull that feeling stuff on me! Don't you remember what happened and how it felt last time?"

Heart: "Of course, but this is what i was made for, I have to at least make a small effort to see which way it turns!"

Mind: "If you get hurt, don't you come crawling back to me for comfort, i am not going to be apart of this drama!"

Heart: " What? Who says it is always going to turn out badly? It Could..."

Mind: "The World! Thats Who! It Has nothing in common with you and wants to crush you to bits? Doesn't that scare you in the slightest?"
...
Heart: "...YES! In fact, that terrifies me!... But that is exactly what the world wants! IT wants to terrify! The world want's it to turn out badly or it doesn't want it to happen at all! But if i am trusting in God to take my fear and then to lead me, in order that i might find success! Then i might have a picture for another poor heart to hope toward!"

Mind: "... You pitiful heart... how do you cary so much? Why do you endure pain to try and gain something that might never be? How can you suffer, over and over and still have hope deep within?"

Heart: "It is not by any of my own doings that I try again after i have failed? The Purpose that the Lord has for me pulls me up when i have been nocked down!"

Mind: " I wish I had a purpose like you! You make me feel like a pessimistic humbug!"

Heart: "You have a purpose as much as i do! Your supposed to argue and reason with me as we just were! You may think that your suggestions (or more like commands) are discarded and trampled on sometimes, but they influence the way our body act as well!"

Mind: " Oh... so i should make a suggestion of how to go about this situation as carefully as possible, instead of  throwing the whole thing out the ear? "

Heart: "Yeah... it will work out better, i think, if you are thinking and i am feeling as one! That way we keep each other in check!"

Mind: "And keeping God always in our focus?"

Heart: "Yes! God is our focus!"

Hobby update #1

Mistress Mary, quite contrary,

How does your garden grow?

With silver bells, and cockle shells,

And pretty maids all in a row.

My garden is coming along! I just planted some Tomato plants and my tulips are finally peeping their heads from the ground! There is ONE sun flower and i am praying nothing chews it up! Everything else is growing beautifully and I keep seeing more and more buds on my chrysanthemums! Mom gave me about two pounds of sprouting potatoes to put into the earth! That shall be an excuse to be near my garden with out nothing to do! :D

Genesis 2:15
The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Child of the Most High

Lord, the I Am, Creator of heaven and of earth, deserving of all praise and honor.

His daughter: She is beautiful; she is radiant; she knows when to speak.
Her words are healing; her lips sing of her redeemer; her eyes seek His face and hold compassion for those around her.
Her actions are kind; her thoughts are pure. She has taught her hands to be always diligent. Her work is praised by the leaders of the city.  She delights herself in the presence of the Lord. She shines like the morning sun when he is on her heart.

Praise Him.
Praise Him, all children.

...Live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way...
Colossians 1:10
Ephesians 4:1
Philipians 1:27

Praise him,
You are a child of the most High God .

Pulled to Safety

Every one is selfish.
Each human being's world revolves around their own person.
Each is a ruler in his own mind.
How?
Is it possible to be King over the King.
              We are a fallen people.
     Living only for ourselves.
We will never escape in this world.
       Immaturity has us captive.
We are set in a pattern.
The weight pulls me to the bottom.
The hole is too deep now.
                                The raging river has swelled.
I am caught in the current.
i feel...
there is no rescue

"For where you have envy and selfish ambition there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven  is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere."
James 3:16, 17

There is another way to live.
Jesus came that we might live life to the fullest.
                 He brought mercy,
                        though we have sinned.
                He has forgiven,
though we have spat in his face.

Each of us want to stand out.
Why blend in with the world?
      Save me.
          I am yours.
            Save me.
               Stop flailing...

I feel...
My rescuer has come.

?When I Finally Make it Home... I am going to be able to sing to my God and see his emotions...! I am going to wrap my arms around my daddies neck and tell him i've missed him! I am going to be in such awe that all words will fall from my lips!... I serve such an awesome King! And he is my friend too :D

The Lord, that is His name... the compassionate and gracious God, Slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their  children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation. Exodus 34:5-7

His is the truest love, with out it, you can not love. He loved me so much he sent His only son, taken out of heaven, and placed him on this earth, to live, and to die. But not even death could hold him and so He rose up from the earth and to this day, Jesus lives in heaven preparing a place for anyone who will except Him!
God's will be done on this earth, because that is the best way!

?When i finally make it home... Im gonna ride on a rain drop from heaven to the earth! ;D

Moving with the Spirit!

The last month has been full of weird time patterns for me! At first i was really frustrated and thinking "I am loosing so much sleep." Now I am learning more each day that, instead of waking at 4 in the morning and just laying there, I need to seek out Jesus and let His Spirit lead and teach me! When I finally started moving with His Spirit and not against Him, that is when I experienced peace!
